ProtectionID v4 question.
I dont know if I am doing it right but I dont think so because it doesnt detect any protection for max payne 2. This is how I do it,
I open the program (obviously) and I press scan Then I scan all the exe files available Yet doing this says that no protection was found. Am I doing it wrong or is it true that max payne 2 does not have any protection?? |

This only happened to me, when scanning the deviance no-cd.
The original exe was reported (as it is) Securom ....

All I can say is some games have the copy protection in unusual places. Battlefield1942 for example has a mod.dll (or something similar, hazy memory) in a subdirectory somewhere and if you scan that it will (correctly) identify safedisc 2. You can try scanning all dll files in the game subdirectories.

Only the exe file is protected.
It seems, Deviance has stripped off any SecuRom information, so PID doesn't detect anything. I sent this info to cdkiller two weeks ago (via ICQ, so Iam not sure he got it). The original file is identified correctly. Only thing I could think of is a localized version, but I don't think that this matters.
