this is weird(burning dc image from cd-rom)

ok my friend told my that he has a program that lets him copy dc games from his normal cd-rom. at first i thought this was bull shit but i saw all the games he has burned(he has a normal dial-up so i dont thik he downloaded like 50 games). ok so this question is for all the pros: is this possidle? he said he would give me the prog. on wednesday and if it works ill let ya know.

i am an electrical engineer and i can tell you that it is impossible to do a straight back up of an original dreamcast game from a CD-ROM, the technology from the GD-ROM is not identifiable and is non-readable on a normal CD-ROM,
the only methods are with the serial port connection, which i have made, and converts your dreamcast to a GD_ROM reader then you can manipulate the extracted files (this of course requires some knowledge of the file system on the GD-ROM) to properly set it up for a working backup burn
