copying problems

Hello out there

I’m having some problems backing up some DVDs to use while on Holidays over Xmas.

I have tried DVDXcopy express 2.5.1 and DVD Shrink 1.03 and no luck I keep getting error messages.

The 2 DVDs are Rocky 3 & Shrek

In X copy I get the following error messages

Error reading movie- Title Set!

I then push OK and get

ERROR occurring reading sectors

I get this for both movies

With DVD Shrink I get
DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue the operation..

Fatal errors in vts css key

The reason is: Data Error

(cyclic redundancy check)

I get this for Rocky 3 and the same for Shrek except it says "no error" where it said “The reason is “for Rocky

Can anybody help me?

Thanks

I can't speak for Rocky 3, but I just loaded Shrek in my copy of DVD Shrink 3.0 Beta 3 and it analysed it without any problems.

You might find the earlier version of DVD Shrink had some bugs that needed ironing out, particular with certain drives.

Jump onto the site at www.dvdshrink.org and download the latest version, and see how you go.

If that is not successful then you might have some sort of device conflict but I'm no expert

Thanx Shepp

I was wondering about DVD shrink 3 but am a bit wary of a beta.

Any idea when the full version will be out

No idea about the full version.

I am the same with "beta" versions of software but I have been using this for abut six weeks with no problems.

It appears to a novice like me to be very stable.

I'd recommend it.

If it was ever going to crash you'll only lose your data (and your time) anyway.
