New PS2 games turns my writer crazy

Hi guys,

I've been able to make working back up of PS2 games until now.
When I put a new PS2 game in it, my writer is not recognised anymore !!! Neither by DVD decrypter, neither by NERO !!!
What can I do ? Is there a new protection that came out ?

Thanks for helping a newbie guys

Re:New PS2 games turns my writer crazy

I have come across this problem before, but never found a solution. Try downloading the latest version of Nero and DVD Decrypter. And if that dont work then look inside your computer and make sure that all the wires are properly hooked up. Also, look in the device manager and make sure that its functioning properly. Other than that, I dont know what else to do. Good Luck.

There is no copy protection on PS2 games to date. Like I said before, try checking everything to make sure its in working order. I eventually fixed mine.

If it works fine to back up movies, it means it works fine, doesn't it ?
I don't know what more I could do...
Here are the files on the PS2dvd :

989snd.irx
ioprp243
mcman.irx
padman.irx
sio2man.irx
usbd.irx
iop.irx
libsd.irx
mcserv.irx
SCES_509.17
system

When I launch dvd decrypter, I get an "I/O error"
When there is a dvd movie in the writer instead of a PS2 dvd, dvd decrypter and Nero works fine

Please help guys
