Help burning using Recordnow...

Hey guys. I've already searched around for it and couldn't find anything on it. I made a DVD iso backup using DVD decrypter for my nba street 2 game. It's starting to chip in one area so I'm trying to make a good backup of it. The problem is that burning an ISO in Alcohol burns the DVD-R at 4x...and I want it to burn at 2x or 1x. Recordnow gives you this option but what settings show I burn the ISO under in Recordnow Max 4.5? What I mean by settings is...I'm pretty sure is should be DAO closed, but what mode do I burn it under? There are three...Mode 1, Mode 2 XA (Blocking 2336) - DDCD, and Mode 2 XA (blocking 2352)? Any help would be appreciated. I know that I could also make it to a .gi image but for some reason it sometimes messed up so I used DVD decrypter cause someone recommended it. Also, should check for Post-gap be checked in the settings too? Thanks again.

I'd just use alcohol. Burning it at 4x isnt gonna hurt anything. On Record Now Max, just go to Drive>Build Global Image. It should take care of the rest for you.

Are you sure that burning at 4x isn't gonna hurt? I heard that it's highly recommended to burn PS2 game images at 2x or 1x. That's why I really wanted to know how to burn a DVD ISO in recordnow instead of Alcohol. Thanx for the input. If anyone else knows how then please reply. TIA.

I always burn my games at max speed, and I have had no trouble with them, its faster and more convenient.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with burning at 4x, as long as you have 4x media.

Thanx a lot for the help. I happen to be using Ritek G04 DVD-R's so I won't stress over it anymore. I just heard a lot of talk about people recommending 2x and 1x burn speeds so I figured it wouldn't be wise to burn at 4x. It's good to know that isn't the case. Thanx again.
