dust i am not claiming anythink i have 2 black one done BY me it worked for about 5/6 min then just black screen now this was a ps2 out of the box so thinking it might be me i got a mate to do one again new out of box the sam thing. in NZ thay had same thing 3 black not working after about the same time and there is more so yes i stick by my first point don't advertise when it don't do it but wait the new m.2 v1.33b might not be the killer like it littal brother and dust respect to you i see your install pic v9 ss looking good i shoude of got an ss

ps do Messiah works for sony thay bring out a chip that ups the kill rate then after say don't be pissed here the new one this one works

u still got the ps2 with chip installed obviously not as u would have tried removing the chip

i am not the m2 team ,uu didnt buy them from me,but i willing to take a look see what i can find,if i can find fault with the chips i contact hdl for you, hmm were did u buy them from

if not directly from m2 team then you need to send to your supplier

but i been expecting problems with the way the cd/dvd pionts are now,people struggled enough with the bios

sorry dust yes still got them and the chips work fine on older ps2 a little funny on v7 but do work but i have found that the black ps install blows the fuse to the 12v focus,sled,tracking ic so i took the chips out i have about ten m2 and about the same in ps2 i fix the fuse and they work ok but you see my point it looks like iwill have to get the dms when it comes out

For the benefit of others, they should know that you've splashed this on PS2Newz as well.

The Messiah 2 marketing is done by me (with Dust in the wings!). I've not made a single false claim. A whole load of 5000xs in ALL countries work with Messiah 2 v1.31.

Some reports of 50004 and 50001 not working have been taken seriously. The Messiah 2development team have acquired these models. They haven't even bothered to put v1.31 into those models; they've simply read the necessary auto working. It took a couple of weeks for various reasons I won't go into.

To come right up to date, we have been in e-mail exchange about the very unsatisfactory reply you received form a so-called Messiah 2 support source (not me).

I've contacted [email protected] (whom I know very well) and they will explain to me who those [people are who so rudely replied to you and I'm certain it won't happen again.

As for Messiah 2 blowing any fuses - if correctly installed it can't blow any fuses. It doesn't connect to any lines that could blow the sled fuse. A solder sliver or some other mis-install or misalignment of the cables would do that.

If I can be of any further help, it'll be my pleasure and I'm sorry you've had problems.

So that your decision on the matter claiming that the mail I got was not true and that my complaint is not the case, but, you mailed me at last stating wait for the new version 1.33. Now I am willing to wait for this chip and hopefully has satisfactory results. I did not say or have never stated that you or dust2dust has advertised any different on the position of this chip, BUT, all websites that sell chips here UK, China, Europe and so forth make the position of the Messiah as being all versions. Their information was given to them by the Messiah team. I understand that the Messiah team had limited test rigs at the time of this coming for sale. The mail that I got was true and not sent by you. I think I have made my position clear and made it clear to others that this version of chip should be only for older versions. Thanks for all your help and the Messiah team for clarifying the position as to date. Look forward to the new chip Charlie I will mail you about it. Last point, if it wasn`t for the retailers then saying all versions then this problem would not have arose and hopefully the advertisment on the new chip will show this. Thanks

Yes - the point you make as I've extracted it is valid. But the info used by people on their websites comes principally from my announcements. What they then make of it on their web sites is down to them.


As to the test rigs - you are partially well informed! However I remember very clearly talking to the Messiah 2 developer when he gave me the first (literally) handbuilt v1.31 to test - he said that he was laboriously running it through ALL the regression tests.

The v9 test rigs weren't an issue at all. In fact we actually built them for him. he got the May 2003 version of v1.31 running on the replacement 50000s same day as we gave hinm the rigs.

The issue, as I've said elsewhere, was that at the time of v1.31 release, he only had the 50000 to test - no other v9 model. We immediately sent a sample to test in Australia and that worked - meaning that 50003 and 50004 would work too - and they did. So the v1.31 was released.

Then Terry at Foundmy reported that 50001 didn't work. Actually - nobody else (so far as I recall) said v1.31 didn't work on 50001 based on their tests - but a number of people said that it actually DID work.

Then a number of European dealers reported that v1.31 didn't work on 50004 as then available. So we got a couple of these in and re-auto-configured the Messiah 2,. v1.33 is the result.

The community has had regular reports from me on behalf of the Messiah 2 team; I can't do much more than be open with the community.

Anyway, we are in background communication and everyone should know that we are not in any way at personal odds. I'm really ashamed of the people at [email protected] who gave you such a bum reply when the Messiah2 support team forwarded your question. As you know I've taken that up with the Messiah team.
