PS2 DIED - Need Help Finding Repairer

Well, the day I thought would never come, but in my mind I foresaw it - I tripped on my controller wire, and my PS2 fell to the damn ground. Disc stopped playing and I hit eject. . .nothing. I guess there is no emergency eject type button on the PS2 and customer support tells me to "push in" whilte "pushing eject" (Im sure I dont need to explain the logistical errors in that statement). I tried to open the little cd tray but the lil white spin thingy wasnt turning so I figured its a little more than the CD not wanting to come out. So, long story short, anyone know of any local (Sacramento), in the city repair men. You try and google and I get nothing.

Well I opened the top of the tray and removed the DISC. I then pressed the eject button and it now comes out PART way, and the damn thing spins maybe a few times then stops. If I put a disc on it wont spin at all. Ideas?

I was actually thinking about you SPED (in a TOTALLY platonic way. . .o_0), while I was digging into my PS2. I took the top off the CD Unit and took the tray out experimenting, and I got the DVD to spin without the tray on it, then put a disc in and it spinned normal. I then slid the tray back in - giving the tray gears a good spinning - and I guess that did it as the tray now moves in and out. Yes. I DID do a happy-dance. I'm guessing the gears were just tossed out of whack, but I still dont understand why it wouldnt spin.

So basically two things were going on:

CD wouldnt spin. Tray wouldnt eject all the way. How do those two affect eahc other?

Erm, well, you can go BUY a screwdriver that's small enough, at any hardware store for $1.50 or less. In fact, I just bought myself a nice little screwdriver that looks like it'll do the trick for 99 cents at home depot, no less than an hour and a half ago. Would that really be that much of a hassle?
What you CAN do, is you CAN tell the people "Look, I've called before and none of your suggestions have worked. How about I send it in and let you chiefs take a look at it yourself?" Cheaper to ship it out, than to buy a new unit. Perhaps there's even some kind of RMA service for PS2s, but I doubt it.
Oh, yeah.
Even if you have any such things, don't EVER tell them that you're using any non-sony-non-PS2 products of any kind. My PS1 was broken (The reset button kinda stopped working), and both guys I called completely denied me any service at all, because I had a madcatz controller.
Just make sure if you take it apart, do so inconspicuously.
