Soul Calibur NTSC>PAL ???
Could someone please help me with a problem i have patching this game. Ihave the Majestic 50hz patch from Meg*g*mes.com, but i cant figure out how to apply it from the instructions that are in the NFO. If some one could explain to me how to use the 1st_read.bin + IP.bin i'd be really greatful.
Thanks. |

you need to have knowledge of the echelon selfboot guide to use it, http://www.geocities.com/first_wizar...selfbootdc.htm

Haha, **** man i totally forgot that you can set whether you want to run the game in 50 or 60hz in the options before the game starts!! DOH!! makes me wonder why the hell there is a patch out there in the first place??
The game is running great exept for some slight music irregularities, nothing big just a little annoying. Do you think it might be worth burning it again? or could it be the .cdi im using? Thanks. |

that depends on which cdi it actually is,if it's the cnn release then it should play perfect but it sounds like you have got the utopia release that someone has selfbooted which had sound problems in the release and would be very hard for you to fix!
as for there being a patch that would be for the usa version that didnt have a selector on it and only ran in 60hz mode |

Ahh ok thanks that explains it, i might try and find the cnn release, but the music glitches arent very noticable while your playing so i'll probably just put up with it.
Its quite weird though i gave a mate of mine a few rounds earlier today and the music was ok, so i guess it only messes up on certain tracks or maybe sometimes you boot it its ok and sometimes it isnt. I'm gonna try the utopia 1.2 boot cd as well (I only have 1.1 right now) so maybe that'll help. thx for your help. |
