My resident evil code veronica x, The sound is messed up and its the origional?

like in cut scenes there wont be any vioces or music. i have a neo key but its turned off cause its the origional game. i also have 1 game shark code turned on for unlimited ammo, do you think that could be the problem? ive had the code on in clairs part and the voices worked fine though but in chrises its messed up.
