Ok I don't want to break any rules but want to know this
I am unable to get ADSL where I live but really want and feel I deserve to have the xtra d/l content that you get when you buy a game which I do by the way buy my games. But so far I am unaware of being able to get this without a LIVE subscription. Now I was considering buying LIVE just for some of the xtra d/l but would I be able to get those with dial up.
I just think that I paid 65$ for Brute Force and Mid Town Madness now shouldn't I be able to get the xtra content that comes with the games. Does not the content go with the game or is it part of the LIVE??

sry to sy that xbl and a broadband connection is needed. You can't even get the addons from someone else.
Someone told be that a certain magazine comes with a demo disk with game addons. I have no idea if this was true or what the magazine name was (was a popular one).

Yeah I was fooled by that!!!
It's called OXM the Official XBox Magazine, on the front cover it had Splinter Cell downloads, Mech Assault and one other I paid 15$ Can for it after the taxes to find that it is actually game saves not the actuall d/l content but freaking game saves I was so mad.
I just feel that beacuse of where I live ADSL or Broadband is unavailable so beacuse of that I am not able to get the xtra content advertised with the game. I think thats a poor way of doing business. You should be able by paying of course to get the extra content either via cd or some other option. Out of curiousity anyone here play the extra level in Splinter Cell??

I think the MS advertising execs are looking at this differently than you are. You want the downloadable stuff as part of the game and THEY think of it as only a way to make you buy Live. I wouldnt worry about it too much since you arent really missing much.

Jive is right, the new content may give you and extra 20 mins of gameplay, but that is nothing to jump over.

Really not worth it?
Well I guess really what I wanted the most was the extra level in Splinter Cell man I loved that game. And I guess I just don't like the way you are denied a service beacuse of circumstances beyond your control.
