new xbox

Hello I just got a brand new xbox. I did some reading and i know i want to use the evox system. To my understanding i can put a hd in my xbox and play games right from it (need confirmation). Also i was wonder ing if the X-ecuter 2 PRO is a good chip to use with that... because i want to be able to play LIVE sometimes. Any help would be great.. i did some reading and that is what i understand from it... i hope i am accurate. Also will this all work in new versions of xbox??

thx

Well, that chip is upgradeable. So when there is a patch made in the future, you will be able to flash the new bios. So it is pretty safe to say it is compatable with all releases of games

However, do to legal reasons, the modchips come with free bios, which cannot boot games. You have to use it to flash your chip before it is game friendly.

I also recomend getting the X-ecuter 2.2 lite, instead of the pro. Unless your a serious modder or developer, or like to beta the unstable bios, then the x2 should be just fine.

Also, you can upgrade the xbox hdd, more than 137gb (rescently a hack was developed to enable more memory on hdd's). But, you have to format it, partition , and reinstall it first. Luckily, there are utilities that will do this all for u 8).

Yes, and if your wondering what the main differnce is between the x2 lite and the x2 lite+, the lite+ is no-solder.
