Real newbie question (I am sorry)

Hi all

Seems to be one of the few places on the net that will reply messages so here goes.

I have surfed countless hundreds of pages about how to burn the images of DC games, all regarding Discjuggler or Nero. I am more than familiar with most things on a computer and am far from a n00b.

It just so happens that my wife has bought me a DC, and I now fancy trying out some games.

SO, after acquiring a game, Capcom vs SNK 2, I thought 'well, the old lucks in'. I already have various types of tools, such as Nero, DJ, ULTRAISO etc. for various other reasons, so have a decent knowledge about navigating these apps.

It then turns out the file format is in Clone CD. I have used it before but the new image does not seem want to run in my DC.

A pain somewhat.

If anyone has any pointers, i would be eternally grateful.

You "acquired" an image ?!?

Anyway, your cloneCD image might not be selfboot, try to look for the Utopia boot CD (available everywhere).

Thanks for the reply.

Its not very difficult to 'acquire' anything from the net these days, if you see my point of view.

To prove just how n00b I have been, it seems that using any CloneCD version less than 4 will not correctly produce a DC CD-ROM.

It only took me 4 coasters to work this one out, could've been a lot worst.

As a footnote, I went into the city today (big city in the UK too) and scanned the second hand shops for DC games. I was amazed to find the games that I wanted, were still selling for £12-20 each! I thought this was a legacy console, looks like ebay is gonna have to take a beating

i've had quite a mixed response using the old IRC. Neither good nor bad really. Seem to find the fastest being B*t T*rrent, and the most spread being ed*nkey. Shall plunder the IRC again though, see whats out there.

As for the originals, of course I own them all
