Well I have Madden 2004, 2003...Nascar Thunder 2003, F1 2002, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, Mafia, Tron 2.0, Battlefield 1942, Soldier of Fortune Double Helix and want to install the no/cd files for all of them...Do not want to copy them just want to be able to play them without the CD's...My nephew's are tearing my CD's all up and I like the idea of not having to mess with them anyway...What I need to know is how to make them work...I tried Madden 2003...I downloaded the no/cd business to the desktop...Then went to my computer...then C: drive...then program files then the EA sports folder...then Madden 2003...opened it and dragged the no/cd files into the Madden 2003 window...It never prompted me to replace any of the files and so of course it does not work...A buddy told me over the phone how to do it and I guess I missed something...What I need are instructions on how to do it...Sorry but I am a newbie to all this business and would really appreciate any help getting my games to play without the CD...

You will have downloaded the files as .rar files.
This is a type of compression much like zip compression. Download WinRAR - www.rarlabs.com - to extract the no-cd from the archive. Now go about copying the no-cd into the game folder.

I prefer renaming(or make a copy) the file you should be replacing as to be able to easily reverse the process for official updates/patches. But renaming is not necessary.

You got the process correct, you just need to find the location of the file that needs to be replaced (by the No-CD).

Look at the exact spelling of the crack file name. Find that same exact named (original/not cracked) file in your madden folder.
Replace and you're usually done (check the nfo for any other requirements).

Here is a easy way to find original EXE of the game. Right click on the game ICON on your desk top scroll down to properties, you will see three boxes click on the "FIND TARGET" it will take you to the game dir where the original EXE will be high lighted, you can either save a copy of the EXE to a game folder or rename it, example Madden2004_old or just over right it. But if you over right it and you want to do and update it might not let you.
See the point the other post above mentioned for future updates of the game. hope this helped a little

Thanks guy's...what was really messing me up was that I did not know the no/cd files were RAR files (did not even know what RAR meant)...Downloaded winRAR...Then just went to my computer>C:drive>program files>EA sports folder>selected the game>Ctrl&C...Then clicked on the no/cd file and hit the extract button when it prompted me to the program I just hit Ctrl&V and it ask me if I wanted to replace the file and I clicked "yes to all"...Thanks again for the reply's...Seems there are several ways to accomplish this little task...So I will copy the old files and do it the right way...THANKS!!!!
