From what I've gathered, Tagès is an incredibly easy protection to BURN - any writer that can write in RAW+16 mode can pull it off.
The problem with Tagès is making the right DUMP - and that's another matter. Tagès uses modified Q-subchannels in a method called "twin-sectors" or twinpeaks, making the reader think that there two different sectors are identical. This very technique is used to imitate Securom 4.8xx disks (which do NOT have twin peaks, but do have sector density variations)! So in a way, the advent of Tagès has been of great help in defeating other copy-protection schemes... The only reason why Tagès can't be correctly read is because no CD-copying software developpers have bothered modifying their software to that effect, since there are very few games that have it, if not just one - Motoracer3, european version.
