Cheap Pre-Modded Ps2?

Hey all. I came here a few months ago looking to see bout a modchip and which kind to get. I got it, no problems, and sent it to the guy who had received my ps2 1-2 months before to mod it. The guy had a good reputation and we were pretty close so I thought this would be fine. Problem is, he got hit with a ton of problems and BS in his personal life. My problem was that this is now months ago that I sent him my PS2 and i still dont have it back, I don't even think it was modded yet, let alone tested and shipped. Add in that he's nearly impossible to get in touch with and that his focus is on his own problems, not mine (which is understandable).... and the conclusion is that, to be bitterly honest, it doesn't look like I'll be getting my ps2 back.

Anyway, the bottom line is that I'm now looking to see bout buying a new ps2 as cheap as possible. I'd like it modded also with the same kind, Messiah 2 Pro, I intended for my own PS2. No offense to any of you, because from what I've seen, you're all extremly honest and reliable, but I'm pretty soured on sending my ps2 to someone to be modded right now. I did it before with someone who seemed honest and reliable and I found that when the crap hits the fan, no matter how good they are, your at the bottom of the to-do list, if your on it at all. So I decided to see bout getting a pre-modded PS2, instead. Might be a little more costly but might be just the thing I need right now.

So, does anyone here know where I can get a PS2 cheap with a Messiah 2 Pro or Messiah 2 already put in? I need something that's been tested and can play burnt and original ps1 and ps2 games (cd-rom and dvd-rom) but between forking over so much cash to the previous ps2 setup and college, I'm low on cash so cant afford just any pre-modded ps2. Sorry if I rambled a bit too much but could anyone help me out?

why don't u get an f-14???
It's cheap I think and because it's easier to install than m2 the installer have to reduce the price compared to installing m2
It uses actel chip aswell so I think it's quite reliable so try and look for some information and ask people who has used that chip
Maybe in a different forum

never even heard of the f-14. I'd rather a Messiah 2 or Messiah 2 Pro as it's reputation is excellent but I'm open to alternatives, if it works just as well and is cheaper. Either way, like I said, cash is extremly limited so how cheap the pre-modded ps2 is makes up one huge factor. I heard socalworld.com has pre-modded PS2s w/ Messiah 2's for 270 which is a good deal but I really don't know if I can afford that. Does anyone know of anywhere I could get it from for 200 or so? I know it might be unrealistic but my options are limited. Thanks.

who did you send your ps2 to? you should name the person, otherwise there may be more like you in the future who get screwed out of a ps2...

i'm saddened after reading you're bad experience; even though you may not be at the top of this person's to-do list, its wrong to just dismiss you, they should at least get in contact or just send it back unmodified....
