chipless mod (mem card mod)

i've heard there is a way to mod u're Xbox using a mem card? how does that work, it doesn't require a chip? anyone got info on this?

Yu need either a mega-x-key/PAR or another modded xbox.

You put a hacked save for 007:AUF or Mechassult on the memcard (pc link for the PAR, otjust "copy" out of a modded xbox) and when u load it, it boots into evox. (u go on xbl and u will get banned)

From there, you can chose to start another program called "pheonix Loader" which boots hacked bios off the hdd. Bam, soft-modded xbox.

Also, you can do a font exploit if you don't have the xbl 2.0 dashboards. It makes it so when you start your xbox, it boots pheonix loader automatically. The downside is that you cannot go on xbl anymore, or at least untill you put everything back.

are you sure you can't? I haven't used live but I have figure out that if you have a game in when xbox boot, then it won't load up the fonts. there fore you are running off your original bios.

PS: if you do do this, I have just found a great tutorial on xbox-scene.com on how to get xboxdash.xbe to boot with hacked bios from evox!

care to elaborate on the xbox-scene.com tutorial? does this mean if never wanna go onto live, this is the best way to mod my xbox? can i change my HD and copy games to it? can i ftp to my PC? will all this work just as good as a chipped xbox? and y don't many people talk about it?

hmm, well that may be, but if you have the font exploit, do not use backups to go online, you will get banned.

And with this exploit, you can do everything a modchip can do, software wise. So, you can replace your HDD, backup games, play backups, Play backups off your HDD, play emulator, etc....

well the xbox-scene tutorial tells you how to link evox to xboxdash.xbe, normally with the font exploit, if you try loading xboxdash.xbe from evox xboxdash will load it's font files and go back to evox. using xboxdash is useful to set the time, play music and play around with save games.

Also if you do use this exploit, be careful what you do to your original xboxdash files because xbox will still check for signed code until it loads the font exploit.

yes it can do everything a modchip can do (pretty much)

GET THE PHEONIX PROJECT EXPLOIT it has everything you will need (media hack, evox so you can ftp and change files, it loads bios off the hdd so it can run backups and pretty much everything a modchip can do)

by the way not many people talk about it because a mod chip is still slightly better (you can turn it off and flash it with newer bios and ms bios will never be enabled)

Er, when i wrote that i wasn't thinking strait. If you have xbox live, the font exploit wont even work. Only the memcard will. XBL 2.0 stops all the dashboard glitches, so it won't work anymore. BTW, XBL 2.0 is a mandatory update to goonline. Even if you do not have xbox live, and click the go live tab, it will still update.

oops I did that. but the font exploit still works, just mecha linux installer doesn't work. wierd!
