will moving laser cause disk read errors
I just bought a new ps2 v7 had a shop solder a dms3 chip in it. While taking of the dvd-rom cable i felt the laser move. Now i am getting disk read errors.
Would moving the laser cause this? Last edited by swzgriz; 02-10-2003 at 17:42. |

i took the motherboard out and removed the cable from the dvd and just brought the board in. When I first put the board back in the ps2 eject was not working when the ps2 was turned on first.
but when you pressed eject when it was off it would open. Then i took out the board out and checked the wires. when i put it back in the eject worked but it will not read disk. |

take it apart completely and put it back together more carefully and slowly.
Sounds like another loose lead. Regards
