50003 pal (uk) v9 m2pro 1.31 evaluation chip

installed today,all went well
works as expected, except 1 minor bug which was reported by australian v9 testers as well.
when booting dvdr games a hard reset is needed (power off to red led) if u want to reboot another dvdr game
this im sure will be sorted very soon with the next firware upgrade
testing still going on
i add a link to install picture later (when i post it there)plus any other findings i come across

the ps2 itself, very quiet smooth ,even the first ever dvd-rw i ever bought boot in it and play smooth,v6 or v7 wont read them,on the very odd occassion v7 might manage to read them ,like 1 in 5 max

does anyone else think the results from dust2dust should also be posted in the sticky "MODCHIP TEST RESULTS" ?

I actually think its a good idea. But maybe lets wait for the retail chip instead of the evaluation chip. Once that has been made and ol Dust installs one I think it would be a great addition to the MODCHIP TEST RESULTS sticky.

What do you say Dust?

The chip Dust has got is a production chip - except that shortage of Actel chips means that normal flow won't be till beginning November. Prepaids have taken up the entire production for October.

The evaluation and production v1.31s are identical. There is a v1.31c manufactured on a different pcb using the Actel ProAsic chip which is also being shipped to help plug the shortage. Some of those will be filtering through to customers who have not ordered in bulk some time ago.

in that case i reckon the sticky should be updated, 'cos some peeps are still gonna have the M2 v1.31 and some will have v1.32 and later.

...then when the v1.31 owners come accross one of the bugs they'll come looking here for the answers - what better place to leave those answers than the sticky.

Results for the v1.31 should be added to the sticky with the known bugs documented, then add the results for the v1.32 as and when....
