N64 games ....
Has anyone got one to work with daedalus? I really wanna have golden eye as it's save me dragging down the N64 but I can get a ROM to work .... the closest I got was with shadows of the empire but it ran at like 1 frame per 5 mins! .... so;
Is there a better Emu out there? Has anyone got a ROM of golden eye to work? Any ideas why it runs so slow? Thanks -How. |

UltraXLE is by far the best n64 emu out there for the xbox. This emu has 3 game save states, plays 2 games that everyone wants to play (from what I've read, and including myself) Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time, and Goldeneye. The downfall of this emu, is that you can't save using the actuall game save options, like super mario 64 for example, after getting a star, it asks you to save and continue, you choose that, shut the xbox off, turn it back on, there's no save!! So, just use the actuall game save states built in the emu to save your games, this is VERY CRUCIAL for Goldeneye!! Also, this emu sometimes freezes, especially during Legend of Zelda. And, you cannot configure the controllers. Now, I have found a working copy of goldeneye, but it's so hard to control, cause there's no controller config for this emu. Also, the size of this game matters. My goldeneye is unzipped, and it's around 12-13Mb So if you find a zipped goldeneye that's 10Mb, there's your game, that's the one that will work. I've tested over 25 n64 roms on this emu, but all I could get to work were about 7 of 'em, all unzipped. They are...
Doom 64 - 8mb Goldeneye - 12-13mb Legend of Zelda - 34mb Mario Kart 64 - 13mb Mortal Kombat Trilogy - 13mb Starfox 64 - 13mb Super Mario 64 - 8mb The others are just way to big. I'm praying someone is working on getting the bigger ones to work, I would love to replay Perfect Dark, Majora's Mask, Super Smash Bros, Conkers Bad Fur Day. Who knows, lol. Well, hope this helps.
