Extreme g3 racing and Apple Pro

Has anyone had problems booting a backup of this title with a Apple Pro, Bighap do you have a copy to test?? The backup i have will load everytime on my messiah console as well as a Dms3.

have yopu try recopying the game with nero?

It is a cd game, backed up from my original with clonecd. There is nothing wrong with the backup other than it wont load with a apple pro on a v7. It even loads in a console with a no solder and GS2. The Apple Pro seems to have a prob with this backup, i was hoping someone else with a Apple pro along with a direct backup of this game would confirm this.

just wondering.

because in the past when the first apple chip came out. some people couldn't get their cd game to load and they say that it worked with their neo2.2 before. (people making personally backups using whatever copying program). Yet they never had a problem with the general internet release ones (ie bin & cue) with the apple.

But when they recopy the problem disc with nero, they all worked fine. so I guess nero resturtures the disc slightly differently.

Same with NBA street, loads in everything except Apple Pro console. I bought 20 of these chips and have been installing them in mostly new consoles. I started getting complaints about some games not working so i checked for myself and it seems to be true. As far as nero goes i just got Nero 6.15 Suite so I will reburn the games and see what happens. In my experience clonecd always beat nero but i will still give it a try. Thanks for the input snoopy007. let ya know how it goes.

Yep, Glad to report it worked. Thanks snoopy007. Guess Nero tops clonecd on this because a clonecd copy will NOT boot with the Apple Pro. Seeing as this chip is getting real popular it may not be a bad idea to post this info in the facts.also, i just noticed both of these games are EA protected. Both of these games require a patch to load if using A USB mod or a NEO4. Could be this chip has a problem as well. I will have to check this out a little closer.

Thanks for the info guys. The only cd games I have are demos and GS2 so I wouldn't have any way of knowing.

I think it is because of the some of the settings some people use to backup games. and nero seems to restructure it back to "normal". (I guess some chips are more forgiveful about the "format".)

Also, I have never had a problem burning bin & cue file of the internet using alchol120%, nero or cdrwin. (don't have an apple chip though) and since all cd game on the internet are cue &bin files. I believe that its the proper method to use. ie I don't use clonecd or thinks like that.

[/QUOTE]The new Nero 6.15 allows you to burn RAW DAO 96 just like clonecd. I use the normal game copy settings, read in RAW, abort on read errors ect. I always burn from a original, never download. Anyway you are right Snoopy, Nero MUST restructure the files differently than clonecd as well as the messiah being a little more forgiveing on the format. For the Apple Pro owners out there wanting to play some of the old CD-R backups. Nero is going to be a must have. Thanks Again Snoopy 007.
