The Great Escape

Hi all,

just got the great escape, cool game...............

Just done a back up, no probs, however you do need the crack, thats ok

a couple of questions, what is the reg file for? the game runs without it

When running the game from the cracked ex some of the intro videos are missing?

Sounds like the crack you downloaded is actually meant for rips, i.e. warez versions where a significant proportion of data like the movies has been ripped out to make a smaller game. You obviously can use that crack with your backup, but if you want to see the videos, you'll need a better crack. Can you give a link to the crack you downloaded ?

Okay, seems like I was wrong. The crack on GCW uses the registry files to switch to either english or german language. Why the videos don't play, I don't know. What extension do the movie files have ? .avi ? Can you play them in Windows Media Player ?

It uses bik files which are contained in data/fmv folder, don`t get me wrong it plays some videos, like a rolling demo, but not the video that sets up the story line,

I had a similar prob with Starsky and hutch, i had to copy some files from the cd into the game directory then all was ok.

There is no Bik files left on the cd`s to transfer, it`s not a major problem just curious
