Battlefield on two computers? A newbie needs help

Hi All,

This is my first post, so be gentle.

I have three computers on a lan/internet at my home, and want to be able to play bf1942 online on them.

Can I buy just one copy of the original and three of road to rome, or do i need to buy all three for all my pc's?

Thanks,

Quantum

That's correct !
It's, because you need for each PC another CD-Key.
And when you read the software license... One game on only one PC ....

Exclamation Speaking of which...

While you guys are on the topic of CD Keys, I posted earlier on another thread here (it's the last one on the page), but didn't get a response yet.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem before on previous builds.

@freekin_eh:
It seems anyone has got your key (KeyGenerator?).
If at any time two or more user go online with the game and has the same key, that key will be locked and noone of these users can play online anymore.

Contact EA for another CD-Key!

This happens a lot with second hand software, like bought on ebay. They sell you the game but they keep using the serial. Like GLH says, the only thing that will probably work is getting another serial. As long as you have some proof that you won the game, like the manual, you should be able to get a free new key from EA support. Another thing you can try is using Alcohol120% to make an image, mount that and see if it works with your current key. I suggest this because it MAY be possible that the crack's at fault.

Thanks for the help guys. I figured it may have been some sort of lingering registry thing but I guess not.
I agree, it seems unlikely that someone else is using the same key but I will try making an ISO of the disk. You guys think AheadNero would do the same job as Alcohol120% ?

Cheers.
