Booting PSX w/ messiah 2 pro (yes i read the sticky)

I cant get it to work. the directions say to have the game in the tray while in standby mode (which is when the red light is on i assume), then hold resest until the blue eject light comes on. well when i do that it just restarts the ps2 and goes back to the browser where it shows a memory card and a disc saying its a ps2 disc. every other disc type works fine except ps1 games. anyone know what the problem is

Try holding reset for a second or two longer.

nothing. doesn't matter if i hold it until it comes on, or for 2 more seconds, 5, 10 whatever, doesn't do anything but load and go to that browser screen.

Have you tried more than one game? Open up your PS2 and see if anything looks out of the ordinary too. Might have a loose wire.

- could u play dvd movies?
- how about psx originals with the chip on and off?
- remember to only hold the reset button untill the blue eject light turns on, if you hold it too long you will turn the chip off
- try removing the memory card from the memory slot on the ps2

- how about psx originals with the chip on and off? --no with on and off (although i cant tell if its on or off, just going by seconds reset is held)

- remember to only hold the reset button untill the blue eject light turns on, if you hold it too long you will turn the chip off -- done it

- try removing the memory card from the memory slot on the ps2 --tried that , didnt work

i discovered holdin O while booting loads up ps1 originals and most backups. the one i was trying still wont load though, which is the IMBNES nes emulator for psx. others work. oh well guess its not a big deal since i can play that on my ps1 anyway.

Sounds like you have a DMS3 then cause you hold O to boot psx with it.

Try a dvd movie. You should have to hold square to get it to boot.
