BF1942 - Data Differs from Server - WTF?!

Just last night 1.45 crack was working 100% fine.
I even made a remix crack as some of you know.
Today, I get DATA DIFFERS FROM SERVER error on every server I am trying to join!
Whats is going on?

I reapplied the crack 200 times - no go!

I didn't save the original...
Reinstalling the whole thing is pain!
Plus, I want to know WHY in the world would it not work anymore?

A little birdie told me there was a new patch coming out yesterday. However I haven't got any details and I'm too tired to look right now so I'm going to catch some sleep. Maybe tomorrow things will be clearer

PS Still not interested in making a hard disk image with Alcohol120% ? It would have saved you ALL the problems with finding a working crack each time a new patch gets out.

Send a message via ICQ to Killer_Cop
There is no "new" Patch out! version is 1.45! They only updatet the "incremantal" Patch, so that it could be applied on BF 1942 with installed Battle of Britain Map.....

Did you install the new Addon?? perhaps there is the Problem, because the Install replaced some files.....

I think Machina found the problem In any case Machina, you don't have to use 700Mb for the bf1942 image, I'm using a 20Mb image with only the safedisc 2 info to run from the hard disk, made with Cirkutz's Mini Image Ripper. Care to try it ?

Yes, I fixed the problem - no blood though.
I do not like emulation since it takes up CPU cycles, etc.
I am a performance freak, and NO-CD patches is the way to go for me!
I use Alcohol 120% to backup games, and only ONE time to emulate an acctual INSTALLATION of Gothic 2 - wierd game...

Mmmm.... I never thought cdrom emulation took up many cycles. We're not talking about REAL emulation (of a different cpu type for example) here, just some file block functions. Does it really make such a difference for you ? If you ever did some tests, I'm really interested in the results. I've been using Daemon Tools/Alcohol120% etc. for over two years now and never even thought about any possible extra slowdown. But to each his own I guess. If you ever change your mind you know where to find me

Either I or you are getting old or something, because I had this issue before, and I do have that file, and I did try it, long time ago .
So, either I do not remember who sent it to me, or it was you who sent it to me...

His homepage. More to the point here. The tool will make a mini image of any safedisc 2 protected image, but it won't work for every game. I personally tested Battlefield1942 and it works for that...

Well actually I ASSUME it's safedisc only. Nothing stops you to try it on other games Report back here if you get it working on a non safedisc game, I think it might work on cd check only games...

Well what was the fix

What was the fix for the DATA DIFFERS FROM SERVER?

I also am having the problem. I don't need any game backups I just don't want to have to stick the disk in everytime to play the game.

I don't have any kind of bloodpatch either.

Im using the IMSDOX 1.45 NO CD and it works fine, BUT theres 1 file you need to change, its the GameSpyHost.dll

I cant attach the file so send me your email and ill send it to you.
Just put it in your multiplayer folder and you wont get data differs. The gamespyhost.dll that comes with the no cd dont work but this 1 does.
