So I patched my first game (hoorah) and now I have some q's??

Ok, so I worked out that patching games is pretty breezy thanks to this site (the game is Battlecruiser Millenium) and while it seems to run ok (I'm not familiar enough with it to really know) someone told me that some (or all) of the AUDIO files are not actually copied from the original and that they must be retrieved with a special prog.

I would have thought that when I installed the game from the original that the ENTIRE contents of the disk would have been copied to my hardrive...or does it read from the disk when you use it while playing the game?

Bottom line: After patching a game, is it really a FULLY working copy in all respects or does this vary from game to game?

Sorry bout all this. I did do a fair amount of looking around for an answer to this before posting. Hell, I worked out how to patch by myself. Anyway thanks.
