In your opinion which Chip is the Best?
DMS3 or the M2pro? B/c lately My solderer says that he thinks that M2pro kills the laser slowly? But I'm thinking how? It's non swap Chip unlike the Late Neo4..you know? I'm Big supporter of m2pro since DMS 3 to me feels complicated.. What do you guys think? Now I don't want any bashing for either chips since they both work great in my opinion however one prefers one over other(Preference)..

I highly doubt that the M2 kills the laser, as it is the chip of choice around here. This question has also been asked a million times, so use the search button to read more detail, but bottomline is: If you want all of the extra featres and are willing to spend the $ for them then go w/ the DMS3, otherwise get the M2Pro. I personally have an M2Pro and have not had any problems w/it.

Overall DMS3 is better because it has all the extra features. Your average gamer wont ever need these extras though. If you need the features get the DMS3. If not, get a Messiah 2 to save some cash.

From a gaming only point of view they are identical except that DMS3 directly supports the MM16 card without having to boot the support disk first.
DMS3 costs more because it does more in the non-gaming arena, as I'm sure you know. As to nacking the laser, neither M2 nor DMS3 do that.

What kills the laser ain't the m2Pro chip. It's cheap crappy media that people use for their back-ups.
Although cheaper cdr's an dvd-r's read okay they will strain yr ps2 laser by working it harder and seriously reducing the life span of it. I learned this the hard way by running my version 5 into retirement using gash bulk unbranded cdr's. Now use Verbatim Datalife Plus cdr and Traxdata 4X dvd-r an they work perfect. Regards

---- You want me do a research here? My friend, I've been around this forum longer than you..I was merely asking a opinion, not a fact..Like a modchip dealer I Breath this stuff 24/7 almost it seems so don't tell me I should research..Read my question before giving a answer..If I got offended by wrong way I apologize..
