PS2 Debug station DTL-H10000S
i'm looking for information on getting a DTL-H10000S to play games. currently it seems to only want to play JAP games.
i saw an earlier post with a link to: http://www.modchipforums.com/forums...15&pagenumber=1 unfortunately that site has been closed. any info? anyone? do i need a mod chip? or just a utility disc? any clues appreciated. Model No. DTL-H10000S NTSC J

The reason why it only plays JAP games is because the region is JAP NTSC thus the fact that it only plays Japanese games.

appreciate your reply lufcfan, but that much was obvious. as i said, it has "NTSC J" on the back.
the answer i am looking for will involve more detail about this particular model, the DTL-H1000S Debugging Station. for instance, if i had the original utility disc for this model, would it play backups? it was after all, originally designed to played burned discs created by developers. the theory here being that i don't need any mod chip. so, if any one has any knowledge about this model. let me know. thanks.

Er, well I know that but the only thing is you said that it only seems to want to boot Jap games and didn't make any aknowledgements into understanding this. Anyway, you could try getting a Utility disc but it is more than likely that you will need a JAP modchip that will enable you to boot imports (i.e: PAL, NTSC) although I know of no chips for a debug station. If I were you I would just get a normal console...
