How To Rip PS2/Xenosaga Movies?

Hi, I was curious as to how I could rip the movies out of Xenosaga and view them purely for my own pleasure. However, when I put the DVD in my computer it only shows the disc as being 3.96 GB instead of its actual 8 GB size, and I don't see any of the movie files (extention .pss I think...).

I've been looking around to find a program that will either allow me to look at all the contents on a DVD9 disc so I can see and copy the movie files or a program that will search out and rip the movies from a PS2 disc onto the hard drive. Is there any program that will do any of these? Thanks in advance.

Well, I didn't want to waste a lot of time downloading the movies since I'm on a modem connection and it's not really that important that I get all the movies. I was really just more curious as to how I could actually go about ripping the movies off the DVD myself. I know there is a way to do it, but I just don't know how at the moment since it's a DVD9.

All I really want to know is what program I need to rip them, or if they're already sitting on the 2nd layer of the DVD in .pss format (I think that's it), then what program do I need to see the 2nd layer of the disc so I can copy them onto the hard drive. That is all I want.

Can anybody help me?

You could use the program ISO buster to see the second layer of the disc. I have fooled around with this program when I was trying to use a tutorial about how to rip Metal Gear solid 2 Substance to 2 dvd-rs. I believe that there is a shareware version of this program. Do a search on Google.

Hehe.... Fun wasn't it.......

But at least you have a 2 disc backup of a dvd-9 game now.....

Which just proves..... If they invent it, IT WILL BE CRACKED....

I don't care about the in game movies but am I right in saying that there is currently no tutorial for a 2 disc rip for Xenosaga? Just wondering.

Thanks Orion! I got ahold of the program and am going to play around with it and see what I can find.

Oh, and considering that Xenosaga is a really good game and is now only $29.99, I think it'd be better to save yourself the time and just to buy it if you don't already own it.
