broken cd, perhaps no-cd patch?

My daughter has a fave pc game "shelly club" But she has broken the cd, shes only 5. I here a bit about no-cd patches for games, but this is an old game so i don't think it will be available to download. I was hoping i could be pointed in the right direction to find a site or given a clue on how to make one myself. I'm not sure if you need the cd to make one. Can someone help? The game is still installed on the pc.

Please scan the main exe of this game with CD Killers's Protection ID [DOWNLOAD HERE] and tell us what protection this game has!

Hello, Thanks for your prompt reply, I've got the software and searched the exe file. A window popped up and it had SecuROM in the title bar and 4.54.00.0006. I hope this in the info you're looking for. Thanks for your time.

Ouch ! That doesn't sound too good. I don't really know Securom version numbers, but that seems to be the 'new' nastier version. I haven't heard of the game, nor of a crack for it, so at this point I would normally recommend Alcohol120% to make an image of your original cd and mount that. Since it's broken I think you're in trouble. You might want to contact the game's publisher and ask if you can get a replacement cd, they will charge some money but if they can help you at least you got your game back. But it's certainly a big possibilty that even they don't have any cds of it anymore. I wish you luck in your quest...

PS How broken is it ? If it's only scratched, you might be able to recover it...

wrong its an older version current is 4.81.84, so chances are the old securom unwrappers might work on it

I think the old UnSecurom will not work.
There are three phases of Securom protection.

1. Securom --> Unsecurom will work.
2. Securom New --> no public Unwrapper available
3. Securom New V4.x --> the nasty thing with "Data Position"-Check

Probably your best bet. Most software publishers ask you to send the broken one in and they send a new one back out to you. They usually only charge shipping.
