a lil off topic but. . .
anyone know how to take single .ape files (aprox 28 mins long - an entire album) and burn them? i'd appreciate any help

I would try loking looking for some converters, such as mp3 or wav. I am sure you know how to burn them.

i don't want to convert cause ape files are like 800 kbps vs mp3s which are around 128 kbps
i just wanna burn straight

I moved it to MP3 files instead. Better fit there.
