B.S. with windows XP
I upgraded to Windows XP from 98se now my Cd burner is given me hardware error. It recorded once but had a lot of static on it. Any advise with do?

What is the hardware error and what software gives you the error.
Disable the Windows XP inbuilt cd recording engine Use ForceASPI to install ASPI layers 4.6 (search Google) Try using different recording programs Try using different media (for the static problem)
