CloneDVD 1.1.7.1 Errors!! WRITEDVD 5 5

Hi

I'm trying out CloneDVD 1.1.7.1 but I'm getting MULTIPLE errors.

I've copied my SUM OF ALL FEARS DVD to an ISO using CloneDVD.

That plays okay in PowerDVD.

I'm trying to burn that ISO to my DVD-R (Datawrite DVD-R on the NEC 1300 burner)

I'm using the bottom option: Write Existing Data.

I pick where the ISO is and select DVD Writer as the destination.

I click GO and it moves to the last screen...where is say's:

Writing... 0%

And it just sit's there and does NOTHING.

So, I went back to the drawing board and using Daemon tools to use the CLONEDVD known good ISO as a DVD disk, I select it to copy the DVD WITHOUT deleting the temp DVD files.

This fails with the following error but DOES leave the files on the harddisk.

Error is...

Writing to Video DVD was not sucessful:

WriteDVD 5 5

So now, I've used cloned DVD to create a sucessful ISO from my original DVD. That plays with PowerDVD.

I've used CloneDVD to try and use that ISO (as a DVD from Daemon Tools) to copy the DVD...without deleting the temp files.

That fails with a write error. But the files now also play okay from PowerDVD.

Finally I try writing existing data using those files to the DVD-R

And I get another failure.

What happens is when I finally get to the writing 'screen' it says:

1. Writing....0%
aborting

then the SAME WRITE ERROR i.e.

Writing to Video DVD was not sucessful:

WriteDVD 5 5

PLEASE, PLEASE can you help?

Thanks

I rip a dvd to the harddrive in dvd-files.

when I want to burn it to a DVD-RW disc I get this this error.
When I Burn it to an DVD+RW I don't get this error, also when I burn to DVD+R

I've tried it with CloneDVD and Instant Copy, both programs give me errors.

My burner is a Sony dru-510A.

Do you have the answer

thx

Thumbs up

Hi there... had the same problem using the Nec1300 and DVD-R.
Switched to DVD+R and it worked perfectly... The Nec reads both.

Hope this might help

RIP with AnyDVD and CloneDVD but turn AnyDVD OFF before you burn.

see if that sorts your problem out.
