Games on HDD

Hi you lot

I have a question for you, is it possible to keep my backups on my pc hard drive and stream them across the network to the xbox to play them, basically keeping the game folder on the pc and accessing it from the xbox? bearing in mind that my hard drives are all NTFS and im lead to believe that you cant read from NTFS from a FAT32

also, can someone give me some info on using gamespy to play online games without xbox live cuz i know nowt about it

thanks in advance for any replies

Firstly, no that is not possible. And secondly, gamespy sucks alot and I think they turned it into a trial offer one instead of one with just adds. I'm not really sure but it has gotten pretty bad.

For online play, download xbconnect. It is far better. And only games that allow system link play are supported (to the left on the site are supported games). To do it, you basically need a a router with both the PC your using and your xbox hooked up to it.

Hmm, im not too familiar with xbmp and its configuration, but I think the network option is for reading files off a shared folder on your PC, so you don't have to ftp them tp your xbox HDD or burn the to a disk. I believe each setting in xbmp are different types or ways of sharing. I read somewhere that using RelaX (xns) is easiest.

Where you put the movies on your xbox is up to you. You can set the path inside the config.xml file. I'm not too sure what the default path is because I always had to change it. The setting should be in the video section, under HDD.
