Quantum Redshift - takes ages to load when backed up and CAN'T be patched :(

I have to resort to playing it off my hard drive, as playing a backed up version off a dvd takes AAAAGES to load. I tried to patch it with craxtion but it says it doesn't need patching.

Any advice for me to play it off a dvd without it taking ages to load?

Quall999 is on a distinguished road
The only advice I can give is to try different dvd media, as different types have different loading times, including dvd-rw's.

:(

I've tried 3 different brands of dvdr, and 1 dvdrw. All result in the same horrendous loading times.

Same Problem

I'm having the same problem with the same game. I don't think it's a media thing because I'm using the same DVD's as all my other games and I have no problems with them.

the only thing i can sudgest to you is to burn the game using the (i can't believe i'm about to say this) iso method. there you go i said it. the iso method ( if it works which is roughley 50/70 % of the time) does tend to load faster than the DATA BURN method.
but due to the very high % of failures using the iso method i personally like to stay way clear of it.

if you can find a tool called "simple iso" use that for actually making the iso, does a far better job than xiso
