dvdxcopy xpress

I just made a backup of the movie adaptation....it seems to work fine on my computer, and my roommates dvd player, however on my dvd player it freezes on the "this is a backup" screen in the very beginning...did i do something wrong?

p.s - previous backups by regular dvdxcopy have worked perfectly....i use ritek media...should i ask for a refund?
