ps2 version 3 console

I had my sons ps2 version3 console chipped a couple of months ago.the problem is that not all backup games will work.after booting up using the boot up disc I am left with a blue screen with a cd in the top right hand corner.I am being told that i would be better off investing in a more up to date model.
Is this right do I really need to do that any advise would be appreciated or better any better contacts for backups

If its a V3.... DEFINATELY update to a newer model....

If you don't have the cash for a new V8 (or V7 depending where you live) try to get at least a V5 or above.....

Then chip it with the Messiah 2......

Then.... SIT BACK AND ENJOY!

This is a VERY "stressfull" remark for me and the other mods....

If you are implying that you would like someone to give you a place to "purchase" backups..... THAT IS AGAINST forum rules....
(You DID READ the rules didn't you)

Normally I would have just deleted this, but I do understand that not everyone has the ability to create their own backups of the games they LEGALLY own....(I HOPE THIS IS YOUR CASE)

Please be as clear as possible....

A NEO 4????

Why would you swap in a NEO4 when its outdated.

Messiah 2 or DMS3 is a MUCH better chip..

Regardless. Swaping in a NEW chip is not going to help IF his V3 laser is not up to the task.

Being that it is a older model, he would be much better off selling his V3 and getting a newer model (ie V5-V9) which have much better lasers....
