i had something strange happen to me

ok so i come down in the morning and turn on my pc and it loads up then it resets right after it load windows xp it does that about 10 more times then i try switching outlets and it still resets then i ran system restore and now it works anyone know why this would happen?

Well, I had about the same funny thing happen yesterday. When I tried to install the latest Daemon Tools version (3.33) I got either a blue screen error or a reboot whenever the virtual scsi driver loaded (this was in XP). The really hilarious thing was 1) all my discs are NTFS 2) this happened even in safe mode, and a repair install didn't fix it. Now I am such a hardware god that ofcourse I had switched off system restore on all my drives, so I could forget about that option too. In the end, I solved it by booting my pc in safe mode for about 20 consecutive times, each time trying to get in the device manager and delete all virtual scsi devices (I had three conflicting versions) before those were loaded and my pc rebooted. A lot of fun. So, since yesterday I officially switched to Alcohol120%. Daemon Tools is a very good (free) program, but the amount of sh*t I've been having with its install routine is breath taking. So my advise is, try to remember what you installed yesterday, something was definitely acting up.

the only thing i can remember was Alcohol120% and cricket 2002 but i uninstalled cricket 2002 because i was just showing a friend how to use a no cd crack. and why is it funny that your discs are in NTFS format?

I'm having wierd things happening to me since I installed the very latest version of Alcohol 120% (v1.4.6.711) - Random lockups, Blue Screens and restarts, all on WinXP... Strange.. Well not so strange considering I know which software is causing it, just cant be bothered to uninstall it

Pardon me for asking an obvious off-topic question in this thread, but what does this have to do with making game backups?

well it seemed to be the best place to put it and with my pc down i cant make backups also i installed Clony XXL yesterday i think it was Alcohol120% giving me the probs tho because no probs after i uninstalled it

Alcohol120% seems to be the latest favorite for making backup copies of games and I believe mounting images.

Daemon Tools is great (free tool) for mounting an image of a CD on your hard drive and trick the game into thinking a virtual CD of the game exists.

I've had probs off and on with different versions of Daemon Tools and usually stick with a version that works until I'm forced to upgrade it.

Same here. For the moment I'm sticking with Alcohol120%, no blue screens with that yet

Some time ago, i had cricket 2002 installed on my computer with win 2000, and it has worked. Now i got win xp and the game does not start. you can hear the sound of the start but thats all. does someone can help me please???????

PS: can nero 6 (it was not on win 2000) be the prob???
