compression ratio

When compressing a DVD on the HD most films will need level 8 comression on DVD Shrink.

Is the picture quality going to be really poor.

Thanks

Nick

Depends on what you call poor. It will likely have the quality similar to that of a vhs.

compression

you will find by using dvd_shrink that it will make the menus compression higher than movie,,,level 8 will still compress movie but its still better than vhs and cheaper than dvd,,,,,,
if ya worried about quality rip dvd movie only,,then ya fit on cdr\+r without compression

Good God, no don't use level 8 compression. Bleah.

Just put the extras on another disc...

You might want to give CloneDVD a shot.

If you are going to use 2 discs you might as well use dvd x copy and keep dvd quality.
