Troubles writting images ps2- Help!!!
Hey guys,
I'd say in advance that i don't know much of computers, and all i want is to backup my ps2 games. My computer is a PII 233 mhz, 160 Ram, and i have a LG CDRW. I have about 1GB, of disc space (which i think is enough to copy a game), and the problem is that i create an image with alcohol 120 or clonecd v4 (till here goes ok), and when i try to burn it to the cdr, the buffer allways goes down, and if i copy "on the fly", usualy i get good results. Do you think is a problem of harware configuration? Last edited by BG; 14-07-2003 at 21:18. |

you're hardware definately needs beefing up a little....but nevertheless, you should still be able to make cd backups without too much hassle.
considering your hardware spec, does your cd-r/w have buffer-underrun protection? I see you're trying to backup PS2 games, if the games you're trying to backup are DVD's, you'll struggle to make an image with only 1gb of space available as the majority of games exceed this capacity. you should always make an image first, then burn this back to cd afterwards. 'On the fly' can be risky at best...

Quote:
2- If you CD writer and your hard disk are installed on the same channel (same cable) that may be the cause of buffer under run if your hard disk's speed is slow. 3- try burn with a slower speed... that may help |
