Unhappy please reinsert disc error

I've been using clonecd and Alcohol 120 to make backups. When I go to run the disk from my cd burner TDK CDRW 4800B it says please reinsert cd. If I run it from my DVD-R the backup runs fine. What is preventing me from using the CD in all drives if it is a 1 to 1 copy? The images also work fine from virtual drive.

Think about it, you answered your own question. It's not a 100% 1-1 copy.

It still sounds like a half baked safedisc 2 copy. It would be helpful if we knew what game it was. IIRC securom new titles deliberately crash if they encounter blacklisted software.

Smile

The 2 games that come to mind are Sims Deluxe and C&C Generals. They worked on other PCs I've tried and like I mentioned my DVD drive. I was just wondering why one drive would play versus another (the same copy).
CirKutz - where is the option to ignore media type?

Thanks for the replys so far.
