What burner? What OS? Is it setup as master or slave? What dvd playing software do you have?

You didn't say which dvd software you are using. Also, I would set it up as master as Pioneer recommends. It solves lots of peoples problems when they make the switch.

If you just installed it 2 weeks ago I am guessing this is a new drive. I would contact Pioneer for a replacement. Sounds like a faulty drive to me.
