Pal to Ntsc screen settings
I finally successfully made a copy of Breath of fire 4 pal, and using a patch, turned it into an ntsc file. Problem is, the picture on the screen sits too low and the game won't let me modify the screen position enough to view the whole screen. Is there a way to fix this? My ps1 isnt modded, im using a gameshark bonus cd that came with the gameshark 2 to boot the backups. Thanks in advance.

Download a program called Zapper2k or Zapper2000 and you can center the screen using that program by patching the cd image.
Just use the x,y settings 0,0. |

Im not sure as that would work. You can adjust the screen in the game, but it sits at 0,0 by default. I need the vertical to be higher.

I must have tried every PAL-NTSC program there is and the best I can usually hope for is about 95% of the screen. Zapper2K usually gets the best results. Try running you image on ePSXe to see if any of the bottom
Is cut off after you patch. Even if all of the screen is there on ePSXe, on a real NTSC PSX will cut off the bottom 5%. Zapper2K is good for when you are missing a huge portion 15-20%. If anyone knows how to get the screen position any higher than 00, I’d love to hear about it! I have noticed there seems to be 2 different variables for screen height position, where the software draws the screen and where hardware projects the screen, when hardware drawing stops, you get a very black border, like the old IMBNES when it didn’t convert to PAL correctly. You know the hardware position is off when you position the screen in a game and the dark black border does not move at all. |

import player 1.4 works for 75% of games.

Import player I think, needs a modded psx to work. Im just using a gameshark cheat disk. Its a bonus disk, so theres no cheat card like for the full gs.
