Next time, look a bit better. There's one at megagames:

http://www.megagames.com/news/redir....T.BACKUPCD.ZIP

long link, but never mind, it should work. NOTE: It's not a no-cd but a backup-cd as the filename already says. Hope i could help

cheers chrisi

last I checked that megagames one is the same one as here, which does not work for win98 users. However can't test that one again as it seems to be corrupt now whenever I download it

That link is to the patch that Fairlight released. Both Gamecopyworld and Megagames have the fairlight release but that only works with WinXP. If you had looked better at my post, you would realize that I am looking for the Win98 version.

Anyway it is not a problem with extraction, that works just fine. Its when I try to run the game when I get the error. I read posts saying it had something to do with a few registry settings which were very easily fixed in XP. I know a little about the win98 registry and if some1 could tell me what the XP Fix was, perhaps i might adapt it for 98.

The more time goes by, the more I am getting the feeling that we who are using win98 are going to get left out in the cold on this one.....There might be a work around for us if someone knows of a program (3rd party or otherwise) which could duplicate the changing of the registry as I am reading about in the previous posts in for winxp. I still hate the idea of screwing with the registry in win98....a wrong move in there and we are going to be re-installing windows. I am just hopeing that those who are doing the posting about themselves getting this crack to work under xp aren't leaving out any details.

Lets hope that things work out that way. It looks to me that Fairlight did the work on this crack by use of winxp, not bothering to think about the restrictions, limitations and differences between xp and 98 (simple mistake anybody could have made) I can only hope more care is taken in the final version so win98 users will not be left out in the cold. Until then I will wait on someone to make a functioning crack for win98 for this version or a work around as I mentioned before.
