i read the big pappa forum but still need help

i dont understand this stuff is there any way u can put it in moron terms......i dl the patch from dc copy then i extract it 2 a floder than i go 2 cd r win and on the post it says extract but u have 2 have a cd 2 extract stuff i need help bad i have been reading since october 1st and still dont have a clue
