Question Some Questions

Hi!

I'm just a newbie in the xbox-scene. I'm from germany and so i'm sorry 4 my bad or perhaps not so bad english.

Well, my Xbox:

I have the old one of xbox, the first german edition, not the newer christmas edition. I have a well working modchip on my xbox, a Final-Chip it's called. All my Xbox-Backup-Games work perfect! I burned them on CD-Rw's.

Well, I want 2 backup a game on my xbox harddisk. The game ist burnout 2 but it's was a dvd an now it's on my pc. 2x950mb i can't burn them on a cd-rw an I have no dvd-burner but I want 2 play the game. I downloaded all the xbox toolz and the new evox.
A HDD-Tool an so on. How can I copy the game to my xbox from my pc? Do I need to flash my xbox bios? If i have to do it, have I to mod my mainboard???? I think my mod-chip has already modded my xbox. How can I copy the game to the hdd? I have got a router, all needable cables, a ftp-app and a hdd-game-launcher! I read that I have to connect my Xbox with my Pc? But have I to install the new dashboard?? And where should I place the game? simply on C:\ ? And how to launch the game later ?

Plz Help Me!
THX 4 all answers!

Greetingz from a german xbox f4n!

__________________________________________________

Update: I also have the patch for burnout 2 ! so I hope it works without flashing my bios!

I'm not 100% sure but I think this is covered on the stickys. If not, don't be afraid to use the forum search button because you aren't the first(or last) to ask this.

P.S. Your english isn't that bad. I think it's better than some of the Americans that try to post here.

Thx!

But what should I search for? What should I enter in the search field?

After unpacking the iso , where to copy it on the hdd? Can I create a new folder? After that simply start with evox? I think so

Cute jpeg

I just wrote a little tutorial on the basics of burning to a hd, it's called how to back up a game to XBox h/d check it out.

Also the best place that has every tutorial you will ever want to read go to LINKWORLD on the top of the fileforums then choose XBox and then go to XBox scene trust me everything is there!!

yes you do need evolution x loaded on to you'r xbox as for v 1.8.458 that was the first beta version released you should get a newer version. the newest version is 1.8.3752

as for where to get it. please read the rules this was built with the stolen xdk and is henceforth illegal so we can not supply links etc you will have to use the search button for that one.

That depends

The current bios not the coloured have media checks in them that circumvent the media check in the game that allows you to play off the hard drive. Depending on the version of chip you have you can either flash your chip through evox or you might not be able to flash it at all.

There are programs like isocraxation that will also fix the media check instead of the BIOS

you can flash the bios if you want but you don't need to. most people only flash the bios
to get extra fetures such as the media check bypass. to be honnest on my main system i am still using the original bios.
