on the no solder mod chips u know how if u use swap magic disk to load ps2 dvd-r and cd-r games. What would happen if u load the ps1 gameshrak that works as a boot cd on the ps1 i had a gs1 that i could use as a boot cd i had to keep the safty button down and open the lid switch out the gs1 with the copy and it would load right up so im thinking would'nt u be able to do the same sence all the no solder chips dose is open the ps2 door with telling the ps2 its open.

You could probably use the PS1 GameShark to boot PS1 games... in theory... dunno if it works in practice though.
