Xenosaga DVD - DVD-r

hey I cracked my Xenosaga game and I was going to rent out a copy and make a backup can I just do a straight copy or does it have some kind of protection?

You say your "cracked" it. What do you mean by that? Xenosaga is a dvd9 and can not be backed up to one dvd unless you obtain the rip.

If you mean you stepped on it or broke it in some way..... You are basically screwed.......

As Bighap said.... Its a DVD-9 game and cannot be backed up.....

Yeah that sucks. There are rips out there somewhere, but nothing that'll get you the entire game, sorry.

I have a friend who has a rip of the game w/o any ingame movies and I think something else. Anyways if thats how u want to play the game ill ask him how he did it.

If you ask me tho that game is worth rebuying! Plus u could find a second hand one(used) at a local pawn shop or ebworld.

Plus, you haven't had it very long. Have you tried calling/writing the manufacturer with your sob story and a picture of the snapped disc?

I don't know about the console world, but people with broken (literally broken) game discs often get replacements in the PC world.

The rip isnt missing any movies, there just downsampled so there half the size\quality of the original.

Yeah I just recently got the Kalisto rip actually and despite the video being crappier it's playable which is all I truly care about

Yeah the Kalisto rips movie quality is the same quality or worse than PSX quality.
