To tell you the truth, its a pain in the ass to line up properly.
Your really flying blind when your installing it. Theres no indicator like on the Matrix telling you have it lined up right. If your going solderless, get the Matrix its just so much easier to install.

I originally purchased the x-ecuter 2 lite no solder chip and I have to agree, it is an understatement to say that its a real pain in the A$$ to get it alligned properly. As a matter of fact, I never DID actually get it to work because the screw hole wasn't drilled exactly right and and the "D0" point was off a little from the pin.

I HIGHLY suggest that to go with the solder version of the x-ecuter 2 lite. Its only 9 points to solder and they are very easy to do. I had no experience in soldering anything and I did it in about 10 minutes. And if you decide to go with the no solder version and somehow get it to allign properly, you have to always be careful moving the xbox around because just a little bump will throw it off and you will have to re-open the case and re-allign it.

I trust you will make the right decision.......

Oh one more thing, if you have a Ver1.1 you mite have to end up soldering the D0. Some times the pin dose not wanta line up right.
