Virtua fighter 3 60hz?

Hi,
I've got a kalisto self boot version of virtua fighter 3 tb (738mb i think).
Anyway I'm playing it on a pal dreamcast so it has big borders on it.
I m not sure if its a usa version or europe version.
I searched this forum and found the method of opening the image in a hex editor and changing a string.
This didnt work, so far i ve created about five coasters.
Also tried patched the cdi with ppf o matic and a patch i got from megagames but it said the file was the wrong size but I patched it any way and now it is a "invalid cdi file".
Also tried pal patcher.
Does anybody have any idea what i'm doing wrong?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers for any info!!

P.S does any one know why in the virtua fighter during the replays (just after you knock someone out) a big black bar appears accros the top of the screen obscuring part of the reply?

I patched VF3 to 60Hz some time ago. It's the same method as in Ikaruga. Try Megalexxx's patcher

I heard numerous people saying VF3 isn't patchable but it is. If you use hex editor (change 0B 42 09 00 01 1F 0C 84 for 0B 42 09 00 01 1F 30 E0)
don't just change 1 string but let the editor keep searching for the string as there are a few more of the same in the iso which need to be changed. If you changed them all, about 5 i think, then burn the game and play it full screen.

ps. the kalisto rip is an USA version... If i am correct the replay's look a bit buggy in 50hz. In 60hz this is all solved.
