This model does NOT have new "features".
It's a new console version, to be sure, that hasn't been released here yet (but which is very close to being chippable if it isn't already). The model with new "features" is called the "PSX" (ha ha, name reuse... bastards), and isn't out ANYWHERE yet. Japan later this year, here/Europe NEXT year... Q12k4. - Gurm
